River Rock Student Ministries is for all students, grades 6-12. Our mission is to create a passionate, authentic, and welcoming community where students can seek, learn, and grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. It is also a place where students can develop genuine friendships with one another. As a ministry we are passionate about encountering the power and presence of Jesus Christ. We strive to demonstrate and lead students to view their relationship with Jesus not just as an emotional experience, but as a personal encounter. We also work to create a community of connection, where students are connected to other students, leaders, and the greater church.

This summer's Fuge camp will be to North Greenville University in South Carolina. Summer camp is an amazing week filled with fun, worship, Bible studies, and friends. This is a great trip to invite a friend and have fun together growing closer to Christ. The cost for camp is $510 but we do have several fundraisers available as well as scholarships. The registration fees cover: lodging, all meals, amazing worship band and speaker, travel to and from camp, and a couple of T-shirts.

Our summer mission trip will be to Asheville, NC on July 13-19. The cost for this years mission trip is $400 and is primarily for students 6-12 grade but we encourage college students, parents, or other adults to join us. This year we will be assisting in hurricane relief for those affected by the past years hurricanes. Some of the things we will be doing are: debris cleanup, roofing, drywall repair and/or installation, painting, yard work, and other home improvement projects.

Sunday mornings we have student life groups 9:30am-10:45am on the second floor of Valley Ridge Academy. This is a time where students break into age-appropriate small groups with some of our awesome adult leaders to discuss relevant issues that our students face and how God is working in their lives.
We encourage students to go to life groups the first hour and then to our church worship service during 11.

Most Wednesday nights during the school year our student’s gather at the Gillespie’s house for dinner, games, and a Bible lesson. They meet from 6-8 PM each week, and friends are always welcome! Parents, we are asking for help with dinner this year. To sign up to bring dinner please contact Derek.
